Learn industry standard techniques to bring your characters and imagination to life in 3D. In this intensive summer course, you'll learn how to develop compelling game-ready assets and tell stories through the powerful medium of computer graphics. Guided by an experienced artist from the video game industry, you'll create custom 3D characters and objects within a media and entertainment industry context.
ART386: 3D Modeling and Animation I
This course introduces students to basic concepts when working with 3D computer graphics and its various industry applications in VFX, advertising and gaming. Industry-standard software will be used to create 3-D still renderings, short animated sequences and character designs. Students' focus is on three-dimensional modeling and basic animation techniques, with an emphasis on creativity, originality and experimentation.
